I saw an exhibit with her work, Emily Carr, and Georgia O'Keeffe together in Vancouver once. It was a wonderful show, but what struck me was how, if you wanted to see one of Kahlo's paintings, you had to stand in line and wait. People wanted to be up close to them, and they would really spend time looking at them. I would like to think I could create paintings like that!!!
